CASE STUDY · CORPORATE BREAKFAST
Business Conversations, Served Over Breakfast
An exclusive roundtable breakfast at The Ivy, designed to bring clients together for thoughtful conversation, industry insight and meaningful connection.
RUMA Events sourced and coordinated the venue for a returning HR technology client, balancing an intimate roundtable format with breakfast hospitality and the AV needed to support the morning’s programme.

THE BRIEF
A More Personal Setting for Client Conversation
Following a successful first event together, the client returned to RUMA with a different type of brief.
This time, the focus was on creating a more intimate environment where clients could exchange ideas, discuss industry topics and strengthen business relationships over breakfast.
The venue needed to feel polished without becoming overly formal, while still supporting a structured roundtable discussion and presentation content
The Client Needed
An intimate setting
A space where conversation could flow naturally around the table.
A professional atmosphere
Appropriate for a client-facing event without feeling like a traditional meeting room.
Presentation facilities
AV, including a screen, to support the discussion and content.
Breakfast hospitality
A morning format that felt welcoming and considered.
WHAT RUMA DELIVERED
Finding the Right Setting for the Conversation
For this brief, success was not about finding the biggest or most elaborate venue.
It was about finding a space where the format would work naturally.
RUMA sourced and coordinated the venue around the roundtable layout, breakfast hospitality and AV requirements, while keeping the client’s professional image and guest experience front of mind.
1
Venue Research
Identifying spaces suited to a smaller, client-facing breakfast rather than a conventional conference format.
2
Format-Led Shortlisting
Making sure the room could support meaningful roundtable discussion and interaction.
3
Hospitality Requirements
Ensuring breakfast could form part of the experience rather than feel like a separate add-on.
4
AV Coordination
Confirming the presentation screen and venue setup required to support the morning’s programme.
THE EVENT
Breakfast, Business and Better Conversation
The event brought the client’s guests together for a morning built around networking, discussion and the exchange of ideas.
The roundtable format encouraged participation rather than one-way presentation, while the screen allowed visual content to support the conversation where needed.
Combining breakfast hospitality with a structured business format created a setting that felt professional, but still easy for guests to engage with one another.
The Ivy Market Grill, London
The Ivy offered a different kind of corporate setting.
Rather than moving the discussion into a conventional boardroom, the restaurant environment created a more relaxed backdrop for a client-focused morning while still delivering the professionalism the brief required.
Its distinctive interiors and hospitality helped strike the balance between business function and a more engaging guest experience.
The Result
Booked with RUMA Events
This breakfast was the client’s second event with RUMA.
A Format the Client Could Build On
The event demonstrated how a smaller corporate gathering can still feel considered, distinctive and valuable when the venue is selected around the way guests need to interact.
From One Event to an Ongoing Partnership
For RUMA, the strongest outcome was not simply the breakfast itself.
Working with the same organisation across multiple events has allowed us to build a stronger understanding of their audience, preferred style and the environments that suit the way they bring clients together.
