THE BRIEF
A Historic Setting for Modern Conversation
The client wanted a venue with more character than a conventional hotel or conference room.
The event needed to support focused roundtable discussions during the afternoon before transitioning into drinks and networking, all within a setting that felt unmistakably connected to Dublin.
The Client Needed
A Central Dublin Location
A well-positioned venue that was convenient for guests and placed the event firmly within the city.
Capacity for 20 Guests
An intimate environment suitable for focused discussion, professional conversation and networking.
Flexible Event Space
A setting that could support roundtable and conference-style sessions before transitioning into a drinks reception.
Historic Character
A venue with architectural presence and heritage rather than a standard corporate meeting space.
WHAT RUMA DELIVERED
Looking Beyond the Obvious Dublin Venue Options
RUMA Events focused the search on venues that combined professional event functionality with a strong sense of place.
The aim was not simply to find somewhere capable of hosting 20 people. It was to identify a venue that would shape the atmosphere of the gathering and give the event an identity of its own.
Alongside venue sourcing, RUMA also explored catering options to support the wider planning process.

THE EVENT
Conversation at the Centre
Held on 1 October 2026, the event welcomed 20 attendees for an afternoon and evening of corporate discussion and networking.
The programme combined conference-style and roundtable sessions, creating an intimate environment where attendees could exchange ideas and engage directly with one another.
The formal business element then transitioned into a drinks reception, allowing conversations to continue in a more relaxed setting.
Rather than relying on scale or production, the event’s impact came from the combination of a small guest list, focused format and distinctive surroundings.
Museum of Literature, Dublin
The Museum of Literature Ireland occupies a collection of historic Georgian buildings overlooking St Stephen’s Green.
That sense of place was central to its appeal.
The venue offered the heritage and character the client had requested, while still providing an environment suitable for a professional corporate gathering.
Its architecture gave the event a memorable backdrop without overwhelming the intimate nature of the roundtable.
For an international corporate event, this balance was particularly important: professional enough for business, distinctive enough to feel rooted in the destination.
The Result
20 Guests in a Distinctly Dublin Setting
An intimate corporate roundtable and networking reception hosted within one of the city’s characterful cultural venues.
RUMA Events helped the client identify a venue that reflected the original brief for heritage, character and professional event capability.
The project also demonstrated RUMA’s ability to source distinctive corporate venues internationally, extending the venue search beyond conventional hotels and conference spaces.
